We were Born for Such a Time as This

 

God is Preparing His Ruling Class

 

Last year before Christmas, I was led to write a book on "God's Wisdom in Management". At that time, I did not quite understand because I was never interested in management or government structures until recent years. However, what happened this year led me to gradually understand that it is important for God's people to acquire knowledge on His management principles in this time and season.

 

We Are Born To Be Kings

 

In many Bible prophecies, it has been revealed that some of Jesus' followers will sit on the throne with Jesus to reign with Him.

 

You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth." Revelation 5:9-10

 

In fact, when God created Adam, He has already prepared him to be a king. Without any work of his own, God brought all creatures to Adam and gave him dominion over them (Genesis 1:27-28). Even though Adam later sinned and lost his kingship, God never gave up on His purpose. Instead, He use this time when the Adamic race is on Earth to teach them His righteousness.

 

 

Learning the Righteousness of God

 

Righteousness simply means doing the right things. It includes all actions, words, beliefs and everything that allow God's creations to function properly and harmoniously. (See our blog "Is Justice the Same as Righteousness?")

 

When Adam was created, God already put His righteousness and His own consciousness in Him by giving him His breath (Genesis 2:7). Adam could have simply obeyed God and did everything right. However, this "living water" was cut off when Adam sinned and his spirit died as a result.

 

With this inner wisdom cut off, Adam had to learn to do the right things again from his own experience through trials and errors. This learning process could be hard and painful, but the knowledge of righteousness acquired through this experience will truly become his own.

 

Apostle Paul who once persecuted the Christians learnt God's righteousness through many persecutions and sufferings, and later became a good leader who loves his brothers so much that he was even willing to sacrifice his own life for them.

 

 

We Were Born For Such a Time As This

 

Many people think it is unfortunate to be born in this age. We need to face pestilence, wars, and corruption in almost every area of our lives. However, as the "last generation", we are also the only people who have the privilege to see the whole Bible history. Furthermore, with internet and modern technology, we are the only generation who can see all the goods and evils around the world (After all, this is what our ancestors Adam and Eve got after eating from the Tree of Good and Evil). If God were to choose His ruling class, wouldn't He want someone who has seen all the evil tricks and yet have learnt His righteousness and have chosen to follow Him?

 

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years ..... they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Revelation 20:4-6

 

Actually I believe many people will perish in this age because of the worldwide wickedness and moral corruption, but a group will also emerge as the new ruling class who will reign with Christ for a thousand years. And could this be just like Esther, we were born for such a time as this?
