Supernatural Health of God’s Servants
During the current Presidential Elections, many people have expressed their concerns about the age and health of the candidates. However, such worries are really unnecessary if the candidate is truly a servant of God, because they will certainly be blessed with supernatural health. There are just too many examples in the Bible.
Abraham
Abraham was 100 years old when he gave birth to his son Issac. After his wife Sarah passed away at 127, Abraham married another woman Keturah and gave birth to six more sons. Abraham would be at least 137 years when he married Keturah becuse he was 10 years older than his first wife Sarah.
Then again Abraham took a wife (after Sarah passed away), and her name was Keturah; and she bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. ~ Genesis 25:1-2
Moses
Moses’ physical strength was the same at 120 years of age as when he was in his youth. Not even his eyes were dimmed.
Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished. ~ Deuteronomy 34:7
Caleb
Caleb was one of the twelve spies Moses sent out to spy their Promised Land. His physical strength was the same after wandering in the wilderness for 45 years, and he was ready to lead Judah to be the first tribe to war against giants to take back their land.
Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him (Joshua): “… I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land, … and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. ~ Joshua 14:6-11
Smith Wigglesworth (1859-1947)
Is this supernatural health limited to Bible characters? Probably not!
Smith Wigglesworth, a well known British evangelist and miracle worker had also been blessed with supernatural health during his lifetime. He mentioned in his books that he had the physical strength of a 20 year old in his 80s, and God even restored all his teeth.
Kenneth Hagin (1917-2003)
Kenneth E Hagin, another well known American preacher was born with a deformed heart and was not expected to live beyond teenage according to his doctors. However, he was miraculously healed because of his faith, and he had experienced divine health ever since until he passed away at the age of 86.
God is Our Healer
God is our provider. He will surely equip His workers and servants who do His will.
(Jesus said) So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. ~ Matthew 6: 31-33
