Where is the Field of Hidden Treasures?

The Parable of Hidden Treasures

The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. ~ Matthew 13:44

The “treasure” in the above parable is the “kingdom of heaven”, but where is the “field”? To me, it is the Bible. Many many treasures have been hidden there.

How I Found the Hidden Treasure

I was educated in a Christian school so I have learnt about Christianity since childhood. However, it was not until after college that I decided to seriously read the Bible from cover to cover.

I started with the Book of Proverbs because I knew it was a book of wisdom, but I was so surprised that the Book drew me like a magnet. I kept reading and could not stop until I have read it over five times. Then I proceeded to read Genesis, and the same thing happened. I thought about the Scriptures day and night so I just kept reading, not even wanting to eat or sleep. In two weeks’ time I lost 5 kg, and I felt myself totally transformed from the inside.

When I started to write down my revelations during covid lockdowns, more revelations kept coming to me. These “hidden treasure” once again amazed me and satisfies my soul. I believe the following prophecy is being fulfilled in these last days:

And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. ~ Acts 2:17

The Bible has Multi-Level Meanings!

I am convinced that the Bible is written in an advanced multi-level language embedded with lots of riddles, codes, metaphors, puzzles and more. It has different meanings on different levels, and has to be unlocked by revelations given through the Holy Spirit. Some Scriptures also can only be undestood after the reader has acquired certain knowledge or life experience.

Many times it just excites me when I come to understand some of these hidden messages. In addition, I often feel so satisfied as if my soul has been nourished with the most precious ointment. The Bible tells us that:

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter. ~ Proverbs 25:2

Why Hide the Treasure Again After Finding it?

This parable has an interesting narration of the man hiding the treasure again after he found it. Why didn’t he use it immediately? Or go around to tell his family and close friends?

After receiving a number of revelations (which may still be just a small percentage), I have come to understand that this knowledge is difficult for most people in this age to accept. As Apostle Paul said,

The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. ~ 1 Corinthians 1:18

Fortunately, this man was wise enough to buy the whole field so he could take his time to continue to search for the rest of all the treasures.

The Field is Costly!

But buying the field is NOT an easy task! The man had to sell everything he has in order to buy the field. However, for anyone who has understood the value of this hidden treasure, what he gives up in this world is really nothing compared to what he will find. The man therefore sold all he had and bought the field “in his joy”.

The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the Words of this Law. ~ Deuteronomy 29:29
