Touch Not Mine Anointed!

With the war in Israel becoming more intense, we feel both a need and a responsibiity to share some important Scriputres here.

Nations will be Judged on account of Israel

It is written in the Scriptures that all nations will be judged in the end. And one of the crieria for God's judgement is how these nations have treated Israel.

I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land. ~ Joel 3:2

Many countries are now taking their stands for or against Israel. May these nations be reminded that they willl be judged according to their positions. Also, for nations who pretend to be supporters of Israel, beware that GOD IS NOT MOCKED!

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. ~ Galatians 6:7

Time to Take Your Side

This War in Israel and the reactions of different nations should also remind us of what happened at Mount Carmel when prophet Elijah demanded the children of Israel to take their side - to follow the Lord or to follow their idols.

So Ahab sent unto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto mount Carmel. And Elijah came unto all the people and said, "How long will you falther between the two opinions? If the Lord be God, follow Him: but if Baal, then follow him. ~ 1 Kings 18:20-21

In the end, the Lord showed Himself by burning up the sacrifice made to Him while the offerings made to Baal remained untouched. Elijah then slew all the prophets of Baal. After that, rain started to pour down after 3 years and 6 months of drought.

Touch Not Mine Anointed !

The Lord has made it very clear that His anointed is NOT to be touched! Israel is God's Covenant people, His heritage (1 Kings 18:21), His firstborn son (Exodus 4:22), His beloved (Hosea 11:1), and the apple of His eye (Zechariah 2:8). Anyone doing harm to Israel, especially shedding innocent blood in their land, must be prepared to face severe judgements.

(The Lord) Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. ~ Psalms 105:15

Furthermore, as followers of Christ, the Jews are actually our "spiritual fathers". The Gospel was first given to the Jews, and then passed onto Gentiles through many sacrificial acts of many Jewish people and the early churches. Most Books in the New Testament were written by Jews, and even Jesus is a Jew.

It is now time not only for nations to take their stands, but also for lukewarm Christians to make up their minds. Do they truly believe in the God of Israel? Remaining neutral is no longer an option.

Learn from King David

King David, the man after God's own heart has given us a good example on how we should treat God's anointed ones. Even though king Saul had already been "de-throned" by God at that time and himself appointed as king, David remained humble and respectful towards Saul. He also refused to do Saul any harm even when he was given a chance to do so.

And he (David) said to his men, “The Lord forbid that I should do this thing to my master (to kill Saul), the Lord’s anointed, to stretch out my hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the Lord.” ~ 1 Samuel 24:6

Even though Israel may have sinned, and the Land of Judah may have been infiltrated by many non-Jews, the Land of Israel remains the Promised Land given to Abraham through God's Covenant. May all nations acknowledge this and treat Israel fairly.
